Eranim also host the Acoustic Night at the Old Poets' Corner (Ashover, Derbyshire) every Tuesday night (see more pic's below).
It's a great evening with a very relaxed atmosphere no need to pre-book a slot, just come along and play
or simply listen! Anything goes music-wise; folk, blues, (acoustic) rock, pop, your own material, instrumentals, a cappella singers everyone is welcome!
The owners of the pub Kim & Jackie put on a fine selection of real ales, Belgian beers and fruit wines, plus all the usuals and many people make a whole evening of it and eat first all delicious, home-cooked food. There are even en-suite rooms available in the pub if you're coming from afar!
The Old Poets Corner is well recognised as a live music venue, with regular live acts and musical evenings. When Kim is not sneaking out from behind the bar to instigate multi-instrumental jams with his acoustic bass, he keeps a weather eye on the session musicians for any up-and-coming talent. So if you're thinking of going out there and doing a few gigs, this is a good place to get started!
The session starts around 9pm, but be early for a table! |
